Hughes Power System has a qualified inhouse test laboratory for medium and high voltage products.
The laboratory represents the latest generation's equipment and produces very accurate results. Testing capacity measures up to 900 kV BIL and 900 kV switching impulse and the power frequency tests up to 420 kV 1A continuous operation with low level PD measuring.

LABORATORYTESTS
The following tests are performed in our laboratory:
- Temperature-rise tests, 1 kA AC 15 - 400 Hz;
- Single-phase and three-phase tests;
- Magnetic field measurement;
- Thermal imaging;
- High speed photography, 168000 frames per second;
- X-ray emission as per IEC62271-100;
- Contact resistance test;

- Impulse voltage lightning (BIL) to 900 kV 60 kJ;
- Impulse voltage switching 900 kV 60 kJ;
- Power frequency voltage 420 kV 1A 50 Hz;
- Partial discharge from 1pC;
- Climatic chamber -80 to +180 degree Celsius;
