LBS SERIESDESCRIPTION

Hughes LBS series of vacuum load break switches is built for use on overhead distribution lines for sectionalizer applications or as a very reliable and safe alternative to a disconnector / air break switch.

The LBS series of vacuum load break switches model range:

  • For 6/12kV LBS120 model of vacuum circuit breaker equipped with 12kV bushings, built-in disconnector and optional voltage sensors on the load side.
  • For 6/15kV LBS121 model of vacuum circuit breaker equipped with extra insulated 27kV bushings and with optional voltage sensors on feed side;
  • For 22/27kV LBS240 model of vacuum circuit breaker equipped with 24kV bushings, built-in disconnector and optional voltage sensors on the load side.
  • For 22/27kV LBS241 model of vacuum circuit breaker equipped with extra insulated 27kV bushings and with optional voltage sensors on feed side;
  • For 33/40kV LBS405 model of vacuum circuit breaker equipped with ABB VG10 2000A/20kA 40.5kV vacuum interrupter and voltage sensors on the load side;

The LBS120 for 6/15kV / OVX240 for 22/27kV vacuum load break switch components: 

  • 12kV / 24kV bushings (1) of epoxy with silicone surface;
  • Integrated and synchronized disconnector (2) with visible open points on all 3-phases;
  • Attachment points (3) for down pole mounted disconnector operation handle;
  • Frame (4) made of 5 and 4mm stainless steel to eliminate corrosion;
  • Electrical circuit (5) made of high grade copper;
  • Manual manoeuvre (6) of vacuum interrupter;
  • Spring stored energy operating mechanism (7);

The standard installation includes below elements in the following sequence:
